PRECAUTION (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.
If the side airbag has deployed, replace the rear seat airbag assembly, rear seatback frame subassembly, separate type rear seatback cover and separate type rear seatback pad with a new one.
Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Disengage the hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

Note
Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.
Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.
Repeat the step above for the other hook.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the 2 seat heater connectors.
Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
Disengage the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.
Note
Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER
Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seatback covers.

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
Disengage the 2 rear seat belts from the 2 rear seat shoulder belt guides.
Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.
Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly LH.
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.
Disengage the rear seat belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.
Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly RH.
REMOVE CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disengage the hook and remove the center seatback assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE CENTER SEAT ARMREST INNER PLATE
Disengage the 6 claws and separate the 4 guides, and remove the center seat armrest inner plate.
REMOVE REAR CENTER SEATBACK FRAME WITH COVER AND PAD
Remove the 2 nuts.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear center seatback frame with cover and pad.
REMOVE CENTER SEAT ARMREST BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 3 clamps.
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 washers and center seat armrest bracket sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST BOX ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 4 hooks and remove the rear seat center armrest box assembly from the rear seat center armrest.
REMOVE COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 screws.
Separate the guide and remove the rear seat center armrest door sub-assembly.
Remove the screw.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 8 claws and 3 guides, and remove the rear seat armrest plate.
Disengage the 4 claws.
Disconnect each connector to remove the cooler control switch assembly.
REMOVE REAR NO. 1 POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY
Disengage the guide.
Disengage the 3 clamps and turn back the rear seat center armrest cover as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the connector.

Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the rear No. 1 power outlet socket assembly as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE REAR POWER OUTLET SOCKET COVER
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear power outlet socket cover as shown in the illustration.
