REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. A01EYIPE01

      Disengage the hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.


      1. Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to disengage the hook.

      2. Repeat the step above for the other hook.

    2. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type)

      Disengage the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Fold down the rear seatback assembly RH.

      Disengage the fastener as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01EV2K

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the hook of the seat cushion from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.


      1. Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.

      2. Repeat the step above for the other hook.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disconnect the 2 seat heater connectors.

    3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the claw and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seatback covers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.

    2. Disengage the rear seat belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

    3. A01EUMS

      Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly RH.

  12. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 nuts and child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.

  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the bolt and rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.

  14. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

    2. A01EY53

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  15. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

    2. A01EXK1

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  17. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat center shoulder belt guide.

    2. Fold down the rear seatback assembly LH.

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seatback covers.

  20. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.

    2. Disengage the 2 rear seat belts from the 2 rear seat shoulder belt guides.

    3. A01EVHV

      Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly LH.

  21. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  22. REMOVE CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01EUY4

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the center seatback assembly as shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. A01EWHQ

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  24. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  25. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  26. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  27. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the claw, 2 clips and guide and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.

  28. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  29. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  30. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  31. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  32. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

  33. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH

      Disengage the 5 clips.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the roof side inner garnish LH.

  34. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET (w/o Rear Sunshade)


    1. A01EXDXE01

      Slide the center stop light set in the order and directions shown by the arrows in the illustration while pushing it towards the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 4 claws.

    2. A01ET7Q

      Turn the center stop light set 180 degrees as shown by the arrow in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      This makes it easier to disconnect the connector.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the center stop light set.

  36. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER


    1. A01ET04

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 4 guides and remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other 2 rear seat shoulder belt covers.

  37. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)

      Using pliers, disengage the 3 clips from inside the luggage compartment as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the tips of pliers before use.

    2. Disengage the 5 guides.

    3. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  38. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)

      Using pliers, disengage the 3 clips from inside the luggage compartment as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the tips of pliers before use.

    2. Disengage the guide.

    3. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  39. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.
