OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR (for TMC Made)


    1. A01ETJT

      Install a new support as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01EWHC

      Pass a new wire harness through a new frame sub-assembly.

    3. A01ETRC

      Connect the connector.

    4. A01EX18

      Temporarily install the frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. A01EWWH

      Install the frame sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

    6. Engage the clamp.

    7. A01EYKM

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the base with 3 new screws.

      Torque:
      3.8 N*m  { 39 kgf*cm, 34 in.*lbf }

      Note

      When installing the base, check that the wire harness is not caught between the base and housing. Failure to do so may cause a short circuit.

    8. Engage the clamp.

    9. A01EYBK

      Engage the 5 claws to install a new lower cover.

    10. A01EUMF

      Engage the 5 pins to install a new gasket.

      Adjust the wire harness so that the marking is at the position shown in the illustration.

    12. A01ETFQE02

      *a Vinyl Tape

      Wind vinyl tape around the wire harness to secure it.

      Reference Measurement
      Area Measurement
      a 40.0 mm (1.57 in.)

      Note

      If the vinyl tape is wrinkled, water may run down the wire harness and enter the vehicle. Make sure to wind the vinyl tape properly.

    13. A01ETJR

      Connect each connector to the adapter.

      Route the longer wire harness as shown in the illustration.

      Wind vinyl tape around the wire harness to secure it.

  2. INSTALL SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the side turn signal light assembly.

  3. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER (except TMC Made)

  4. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER (for TMC Made)


    1. Engage the 7 claws to install the outer mirror cover.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Engage the clamp.

    4. Install the mirror actuator with the 3 screws.

  5. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR (except TMC Made)

  6. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR (for TMC Made)


    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Engage the 2 guides on the upper part of the outer mirror to the outer mirror.

    3. A01EXQ6

      Engage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror to the outer mirror.
