OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR (except TMC Made)

  2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR (for TMC Made)

      *a Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    2. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.

      *a Moulding Remover

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the lower part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.

    4. A01EXC8

      Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    5. A01EWE0

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the outer mirror.

  3. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER (except TMC Made)

  4. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER (for TMC Made)


    1. A01EUTE

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. A01EWKL

      Disengage the clamp.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the mirror actuator.

    4. A01EVS8

      Disengage the 7 claws and remove the outer mirror cover.

  5. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the side turn signal light assembly.

  6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR (for TMC Made)

      Remove the vinyl tape.

      *a Cut

      Cut the wire harness at the position shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the wire harness with a new one.

    3. A01EUMF

      Disengage the 5 pins and remove the gasket.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the gasket with a new one.

    4. A01EYKJ

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws.

    5. A01EVCS

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lower cover as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the lower cover with a new one.

    6. A01EYKM

      Disengage the clamp.

    7. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and base.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the "TORX" screws with new ones.

    8. A01EWWH

      Disengage the clamp.

    9. Remove the 3 screws.

    10. A01EX84

      Remove the frame sub-assembly and wire harness as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the frame sub-assembly wire harness with a new one.

    11. A01ETCX

      Remove the support as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the support with a new one.
