FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL


    1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal.

      Note


      • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the lip of the oil seal.

      • Do not allow MP grease to contact the dust seal.

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.

      Note


      • Keep the lip of the oil seal free from foreign matter.

      • Do not tap in the oil seal at an angle.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY


    1. Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley.

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley and install the pulley bolt.

      260 N*m  { 2651 kgf*cm, 192 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

      *4 Water Pump
      *5 Cooler Compressor

      Set the V-ribbed belt onto each part as shown in the illustration except the water pump pulley.

    2. Loosen the V-ribbed belt by turning the belt tensioner clockwise.

    3. Set the V-ribbed belt onto the water pump pulley.

      Note

      Make sure that the belt is attached to each pulley. In particular, make sure that the belt is securely fitted into the grooves of the crankshaft pulley.

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

  5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
