PROCEDURE
CLEAN FRONT SIDE FIX WINDOW ASSEMBLY LH
Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive sticking to the side fix window.
Note
Be careful not to damage the front side fix window assembly.
Clean the outer circumference of the front side fix window with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the front side fix window surface after cleaning it.
Even if using a new front side fix window, clean the front side fix window with a non-residue solvent.

Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.

Note
Do not touch the glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass or clips.
Using a knife, cut away any rough adhesive on the contact surface of the vehicle body to ensure the appropriate surface shape.
Note
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Clean the outer circumference of the windshield glass with non-residue solvent.
Position the windshield glass.
Install the suction cups to the front side fix window assembly.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with a piece of cloth saturated with cleaner.
Using a brush or a sponge, apply Primer to the front side fix window as shown in illustration.
Note
Do not apply too much primer.
Do not coat the adhesive with Primer.

Cut off the tip of the cartridge nozzle as shown in the illustration.
Load the sealer gun with cartridge.
Apply adhesive to the front side fix window assembly as shown in the illustration.
Note
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.

Install the front side fix window assembly to the vehicle body.
Using suction cups, position the front side fix window assembly so that the matchmarks are aligned, and install the front side fix window assembly.
Note
Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more, and install the front side fix window assembly.
Lightly press the front side fix window assembly to ensure that the front side fix window assembly is securely fit to the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Press the glass with a force of 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf) or more.
Using a scraper, remove any excess or protruding adhesive.

Hold the windshield glass using protective tape until applied adhesive becomes hard.
Note
Do not drive the vehicle within the time limits described in the table below.

INSPECT FOR LEAK AND REPAIR
After the adhesive has hardened, apply water from the outside of the vehicle. Check that no water leaks into the cabin.
If water leaks into the cabin, allow the water to dry and add adhesive.
Remove the protective tape.
