This DTC is stored when the sliding roof drive gear has not been initialized.

Note


  • When the sliding roof drive gear assembly is reinstalled or replaced, the roof sunshade system must be initialized.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the sliding roof drive gear assembly can be initialized Click here.

      OK
      Sliding roof drive gear assembly can be initialized.

    INSPECT SLIDE ROOF MOTOR SWITCH Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check the DTCs Click here.

  3. INSPECT SLIDE ROOF MOTOR SWITCH


    1. Remove the slide roof motor switch Click here.

    2. Inspect the slide roof motor switch Click here.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY - SLIDE ROOF MOTOR SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the a1 sliding roof drive gear assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L7 slide roof motor switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L7-1 (OPN) - a1-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-2 (CLS) - a1-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      a1-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L7-1 (OPN) or a1-7 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L7-2 (CLS) or a1-9 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
