FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  4. REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and the airbag sensor bracket.

  5. REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

    1. Confirm that the ignition switch is turned off.

    2. Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.

    3. Disconnect the front airbag sensor connector.

    4. Remove the bolt and the front airbag sensor.

      Note

      Do not disconnect the front airbag sensor connector by pulling the wire harness.
