CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   

   
   

   1. Confirm that the ignition switch is turned off.

   2. Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.

   3. Install the center airbag sensor assembly with the bolt A.

   4. Install the 2 bolts B.

      Torque:

      18 N*m  { 179 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • Do not use the center airbag sensor assembly that has been dropped.

      • Do not subject the center airbag sensor assembly to any impact or force.

      • Confirm that the carpet does not interfere with the installation plane.

   5. Confirm that there is no looseness by shaking the center airbag sensor assembly.

      Lever

      Securely lock the lever to connect the connector holder.

      Note

      Confirm that the lever is locked.

      Confirm that the drip-proof sheet has not been removed and does not cut into the connectors.

6. INSTALL NO. 1 METER HOOD CLUSTER

7. INSTALL NO. 2 METER HOOD CLUSTER

8. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Torque:

   5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
