FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    1. Confirm that the ignition switch is turned off.

    2. Confirm that the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal is disconnected.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Engage the 3 hooks B.

    4. Engage the 3 hooks A and install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly with the 2 screws.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

    *1 Locking Button

    1. Connect the airbag connector to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

      Note


      • Do not damage the airbag wire harness when connecting the airbag connector.

      • Securely lock the locking button.

    2. Engage the clamp.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
