  1. INSPECT TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Telltale Light Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      10 (MSW1) - 16 (MSW2) Ignition switch ON and pattern select switch ON Below 1 Ω
      Ignition switch ON and pattern select switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      11 (ECU) - 16 (MSW2) Ignition switch ON and stop and start cancel switch ON Below 1 Ω
      Ignition switch ON and stop and start cancel switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the LED illumination condition.

      OK
      Measurement Connection Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (LAPB)

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (P-AB)

      		 "OFF" comes on

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (LAPB)

      Battery negative (-) → 3 (PAON)

      		 "ON" comes on

      Battery positive (+) → 13 (DIM)

      Battery negative (-) → 16 (MSW2)

      		 Illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (LAPB)

      Battery negative (-) → 6 (RRID)

      		 Illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (LAPB)

      Battery negative (-) → 7 (RCID)

      		 Illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (LAPB)

      Battery negative (-) → 8 (RLID)

      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.
