DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the No. 1 room light assembly and map light assembly*.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)


    1. Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3C-4 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the No. 1 room light assembly Click here.

  4. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT)


    1. Remove the room light bulb from the No. 1 room light assembly.

    2. Disconnect the 3A and 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT)


    1. Remove the room light bulb from the No. 1 room light assembly.

    2. Disconnect the 3A and 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
