PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (except Glass Roof)

   *a	Component without harness connected (Map Light Assembly)

   
   

   1. Check the map light assembly operation (Push Switch).

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the light comes on.

         OK:

         Measurement Condition	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 2 (E)	All Switch OFF	All light not come on
         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 2 (E)	LH Side Switch ON	LH Side light come on
         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 2 (E)	RH Side Switch ON	RH Side light come on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the map light bulb or map light bulb socket.

2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof)

      1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the light comes on.

         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 4 (E)	RH Side Switch ON	RH Side light come on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the map light bulb or map light bulb socket.

      1. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the light comes on.

         OK:

         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 3 (CTY)	OFF	Map light not come on
         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 3 (CTY)	DOOR	Map light comes on
         Battery positive (+) - 1 (B) Battery negative (-) - 4 (E)	ON	Map light comes on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the map light bulb or map light bulb socket.
