REAR DOOR LOCK INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)

    (Rear Door Lock assembly LH)

    *c Unlock

    1. Check the operation of the rear door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Locked

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlocked

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Double Locking System)

    1. Check the operation of the rear door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 2 (L)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Locked

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Battery negative (-) → 2 (L)

        Unlocked

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        5 (LSSR) - 6 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear door lock motor.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (DL)

        Battery negative (-) → 3 (UNDL)

        Set

        Battery positive (+) → 3 (UNDL)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (DL)

        Unset

        Tech Tips


        • Set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • Unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

    4. Check the resistance of the double lock position switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        9 (DLSR) - 10 (E) Set Below 1 Ω
        Unset 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)

    2. Check the resistance of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        Unlocked Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly RH.

  4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Double Locking System)

        Unset 10 kΩ or higher
