  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (for Driver Side)

  2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side)

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 6 Speakers)

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.


    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Drill out the 3 rivet heads using a drill with a bit diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.).

    3. Move the drill around the rivet head circumference to cut the flange.

      CAUTION:

      Be careful as the cut rivets are very hot.

      Note

      Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill the rivet head straight out.

    4. After drilling out the flange, continue drilling to push out the shards on the drill.

    5. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.

    6. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front No. 1 speaker assembly.
