AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio and Display Type) Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 stereo jack adapter sends an external device sound signal to the radio and display assembly through this circuit.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the radio and display assembly or speakers.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER)


    1. Disconnect the F47 and F89 connector from the radio and display assembly.

    2. Disconnect the F53 connector from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F53-5 (ARO) - F47-26 (VAR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F53-6 (ALO) - F47-28 (VAL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F53-7 (ASGN) - F47-27 (VA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F53-8 (AUXO) - F47-25 (ADPG) Always Below 1 Ω
      F53-9 (AGND) - F47-11 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F53-2 - F89-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      F89-3 - F89-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

      F53-5 (ARO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F53-6 (ALO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F53-7 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      F53-9 (AGND) - F47-11 (AGND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F53-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
