STEERING GEAR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. POSITION FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

2. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the No. 1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly from the power steering gear.

4. REMOVE POWER STEERING GEAR

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the power steering gear from the front suspension crossmember.

      Note

      Keep the nut from rotating while turning the bolt.
