PARKING BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX

  2. LOOSEN NO. 1 WIRE ADJUSTING NUT

      *1 Lock Nut
      *2 No. 1 Wire Adjusting Nut

      Loosen the lock nut from the parking brake intermediate lever.

    2. Loosen the No. 1 wire adjusting nut.

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the clip.

      Separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake intermediate lever.

    3. A005J3N

      Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the floor.

    4. Disconnect the parking brake switch assembly connector.

    5. A005LXM

      Remove the 3 bolts and parking brake pedal sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
