REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE(for Disc Type) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE


    1. Install the rear flexible hose with 2 new clips.

      Note

      Install the clip as far as it will go.

    2. Using a union nut wrench, connect the 2 brake tubes to the rear flexible hose while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.

  2. INSTALL REAR BRAKE TUBE FLEXIBLE HOSE


    1. Install the flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 310 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Install the flexible hose lock securely into the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder.

    2. Install a new clip.

      Note

      Install the clip as far as it will go.

    3. Using a union nut wrench, install the brake tube onto the flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

  3. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID

    Click here

  4. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for Manual Transmission)


  5. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle)

  10. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
