BRAKE BOOSTER(for RHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Release the vacuum from booster by depressing the brake pedal several times.

Then remove the brake master cylinder from brake booster.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE (for 1NZ-FE)

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

  5. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

  7. REMOVE LOWER COWL TOP REINFORCEMENT INNER

  8. REMOVE COWL TOP INSIDE CORNER PANEL RH

  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  10. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER (for 1NR-FE)

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER AND HOSE ASSEMBLY (for 1NR-FE)

  12. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  13. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (for 1NR-FE)


    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

      Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness bracket.

    3. A005GFA

      Detach the wire harness clamp and remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes.

    4. Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.

  14. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (for 1NZ-FE)


    1. A005LQJ

      Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector from the vacuum sensor assembly.

    3. A005GFA

      Detach the wire harness clamp and remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes.

    4. Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.
