VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1433

DTC Code DTC Name
C1433 Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Signals from the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor) are sent to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) through CAN communication.

DTC NO. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1433 With the IG1 terminal voltage 9.5 to 17.4 V, the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives an error signal from the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor). Spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Tech Tips

  • When U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with C1433, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 first Click here.

  • When any of the speed sensors or the airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) has trouble, DTCs for the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor) may be output even when the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor) is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) are output together with DTCs for the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor), inspect and repair the speed sensor and airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) first, and then inspect and repair the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor).

PROCEDURE

  1. REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING SENSOR)

    1. Replace the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor) Click here.

      Note

      • Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable sub-assembly.

      • When replacing the spiral cable sub-assembly (steering sensor), confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.
