DESCRIPTION

Signals from the steering sensor (built into the spiral cable) are sent to the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) through CAN communication.

C1433 With the IG1 terminal voltage 9.5 to 17.4 V, the skid control ECU receives an error signal from the steering angle sensor. Steering angle sensor (built into the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly)

Tech Tips


  • When U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with C1433, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 first Click here.

  • When any of the speed sensors or the center airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) has trouble, DTCs for the steering angle sensor may be output even when the steering angle sensor is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or center airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) are output together with DTCs for the steering angle sensor, inspect and repair the speed sensor and center airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate sensor) first, and then inspect and repair the steering angle sensor.

  1. REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)

      Note


      • Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.

      • When replacing the spiral cable, confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.
