OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER


    1. Apply Toyota genuine CVT Fluid TC to the 2 new O-rings and install them on the transmission oil cooler.

    2. Install the transmission oil cooler onto the CVT with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Install the 2 water by-pass hoses to the transmission oil cooler with the 2 clamps.

      Note


      • Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

      • Securely push the hoses over each pipe fitting on the transmission oil cooler until the hoses contact the rib on each pipe fitting.

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK

  5. ADJUST CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
