SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 METER HOOD CLUSTER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 METER HOOD CLUSTER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER FINISH PANEL

    Click here

  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL UNIT ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A005HVQ

        Disconnect the 3 connectors and 2 clamps from the shift lock control unit assembly.

    3. for LHD:


      1. A005J5G

        Disconnect the 3 connectors and 2 clamps from the shift lock control unit assembly.

    4. A005KUR

      Remove the 4 nuts and shift lock control unit assembly.

  8. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A005J3C

      Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lock control unit assembly.

    2. A005GS6

      Turn the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever retainer.

      Note


      • Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

      • Do not over-rotate the nut as it will come off the internal spring and the transmission control cable will not be reusable.
