OIL PAN INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Clean the transaxle bolt hole.

      *1 Magnet

      Install the 3 magnets to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    3. Install a new gasket to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    4. Install the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 16 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that there is no oil or foreign matter on the gasket seal surface or transaxle oil pan sub-assembly contact surface.

    5. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      1.7 N*m  { 17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf }

    6. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the overflow plug and gasket to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Reuse the old gasket as the plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
