PROCEDURE
DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID
Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Tech Tips
Removing the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube will drain all oil in the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the overflow plug with a new gasket to the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH
Using SST, remove the CVT type T oil seal LH from the transaxle case.
Note
Do not damage the transaxle case.
REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH
Using SST, remove the CVT type T oil seal RH from the transaxle housing.
Note
Do not damage the transaxle housing.
INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH
Using SST and a hammer, install a new CVT type T oil seal LH to the transaxle case.

| 6.7 to 7.7 mm (0.264 to 0.303 in.) |
Note
Do not damage the oil seal lip.
Coat the lip of the CVT type T oil seal LH with MP grease.
INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH
Using SST and a hammer, install a new CVT type T oil seal RH to the transaxle housing.

| 1.5 to 2.5 mm (0.0591 to 0.0984 in.) |
Note
Do not damage the oil seal lip.
Coat the lip of the CVT type T oil seal RH with MP grease.
