SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY


    1. A005HKH

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing assembly from the shift lock control unit assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the position indicator housing.

    2. A005KCF

      Remove the indicator light wire sub-assembly, and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    3. A005M2S

      Remove the bulb and bulb cap from the indicator light wire.

  2. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector from the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly from the shift lock control unit assembly.

  3. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING


    1. A005M0P

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing from the shift lock control unit assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the position indicator housing.

  4. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER


    1. A005K4C

      Remove the position indicator slide cover with the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the shift lock control unit assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER


    1. A005KQR

      Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.

  6. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING


    1. A005IKK

      Disengage the 2 claws.

      Note

      Do not damage the lower position indicator housing.

  7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON


    1. A005GED

      Remove the shift lock release button from the lower position indicator housing.

  8. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE SPRING

    1. Disengage the claw and remove the No. 1 shift lock release link and shift lock release spring.
