OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL COOLER


    1. Coat 2 new O-rings with Toyota Genuine CVT fluid TC and install them to the transmission oil cooler.

    2. Install the oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      *1 White Paint Mark
      *2 Blue Paint Mark

      Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the transmission oil cooler.

      Note


      • Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

      • Securely push the hoses over each pipe fitting on the transmission oil cooler until the hoses contact the rib on each pipe fitting.

  2. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  3. ADJUST CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
