SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

    A005GSV

    1. Apply MP grease onto the shift lock control unit assembly and shift lever position sensor.

    2. Install the shift lever position sensor with the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      1.4 N*m  { 14 kgf*cm, 12 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

      Apply MP grease to the shift lock release button and spring.

    2. Install the shift lock release button and spring into the shift lock control unit assembly.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

      Install the No. 2 position indicator slide cover to the position indicator slide cover.

  4. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

    1. Install the position indicator slide cover to the shift lock control unit assembly.

  5. INSTALL LOWER SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

    A005IZQ

    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the lower shift lever assembly to the shift lock control unit assembly.

  6. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE

    A005JCM

    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the position indicator light guide to the position indicator light housing.

  7. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT HOUSING

    A005KJG

    1. Engage the 4 claws and position indicator light housing to the floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE INDICATOR LAMP WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Connect marked wire harnesses 2 and 4 to the indicator light wire connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect wire harnesses 6 and 8 to the indicator light wire connector as shown in the illustration.

    3. Lock the secondary lock.

    4. Install the cap to the bulb.

      Install the bulb into the indicator light wire sub-assembly.

    6. A005LZ1

      Install the indicator light wire sub-assembly, and connect the wire harness clamp.

  9. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Engage the 4 clips and install the floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly.
