TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER FINISH PANEL

  8. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE

      *1 Transmission Control Select Cable

      Disconnect the transmission control select cable from the shift lever assembly.

      Release the lock of the cable length adjustment structure of the transmission control select cable.


      1. Slide the slider.

      2. Push the lock piece downward to release the lock.

      *2 Outer Lever

      Hook the outer lever of the manual transaxle to the reverse restrict pin assembly to secure it.

      Install the transmission control select cable to the shift lever assembly.

      Note

      Make sure that the lock piece protrudes from the adjuster case.

    5. Push the slider shaft until it contacts the cam wall.

      Note


      • Do not pull up the slider shaft.

      • When adjusting the cable, make sure that the shift lever is not in the 1st or 2nd gear position.

    6. Lock the cable length adjustment structure of the transmission control select cable.

      Note


      • Push the lock piece as far as it will go.

      • Confirm whether the cable length adjustment structure is locked securely.

      Move the shift lever to the reverse position, so that the outer lever can be released.
