CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Install the lock nut onto the push rod.

    2. Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis.

    3. Tighten the lock nut and check the dimension A is same as the dimension A that has been measured.

      Note

      When tightening the lock nut, be sure to hold the clevis in place by its hexagonal portion.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch master cylinder assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    2. Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the rush rod clevis pin.

    3. Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly with the rush rod clevis pin.

      Tech Tips

      Install the rush rod clevis pin from the right side of the vehicle.

    4. Install the new clip onto the rush rod clevis pin.

  3. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE


    1. Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, connect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.

  4. INSTALL CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE


    1. Connect the clutch reservoir tube with the clip to the clutch master cylinder assembly.

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  7. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID

    Click here

  8. BLEED CLUTCH LINE

    Click here

  9. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

  10. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL

    Click here

  11. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  13. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

  14. INSTALL INNER LOWER COWL TOP REINFORCEMENT

  15. INSTALL COWL TOP INSIDE CORNER PANEL RH

  16. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH
