CLUTCH PEDAL(for LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION


    1. Install the No. 1 clutch pedal cushion onto the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL BUSH


    1. Apply MP grease to the 2 clutch pedal bushes and collar.

    2. Install the 2 clutch pedal bushes and clutch pedal collar onto the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL PAD


    1. Install the clutch pedal pad onto the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch pedal sub-assembly onto the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the bolt and the nut.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING (for 1NR-FE)


    1. Install the clutch pedal spring.

  6. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING HOLDER (for 1ND-TV)


    1. Install the clutch pedal spring holder onto the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 PEDAL SPRING HOOK (for 1ND-TV)

    1. Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the spring holder, clutch pedal sub-assembly and No. 1 pedal spring hook.

    2. Install the No. 1 pedal spring hook onto the clutch pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal spring holder.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Fully loosen the adjusting nut and temporarily tighten the No. 2 clutch start switch assembly onto the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

      Note

      Do not fully tighten the adjusting nut, because the nut will be tightened after adjusting the height of the pedal.

  9. INSTALL CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch start switch clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      16 N*m  { 160 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch pedal support sub-assembly onto the vehicle with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      for Bolt
      24 N*m  { 241 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
      for Nut
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connectors and wire harness clamp.

  11. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
