OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

   *a	Component without harness connected (Oil Pump with Motor Assembly)

   
   

   1. Check motor operation.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage to each terminal and check that the oil pump with motor assembly operating sound can be heard.

         Condition	Specified Condition
         Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (+B) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (SI) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (GND)	Operating sound can be heard

         Note

         Do not operate the oil pump with motor assembly more than necessary.

         Tech Tips

         Perform the motor operation check with the oil pump with motor assembly installed to the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

2. INSPECT CHECK VALVE

      *1	Check Ball
      *2	Check Valve Cage

      Using a pin punch, move the check ball back and forth and check that the check ball moves smoothly.

      OK
      Check ball moves smoothly.

      Note

      Be careful not to drop the check valve cage.

      Tech Tips

      If the check ball does not move smoothly, replace the check valve.
