STOP AND START SYSTEM Engine Hood Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The engine hood courtesy switch is installed in the hood lock assembly. This switch turns off when the engine hood is opened and turns on when the engine hood is closed.

If the engine hood is opened while the engine is stopped due to Stop and Start system control, the engine will not be restarted due to Stop and Start system control in case of manual transaxle and with the shift lever in D in case of CVT, but the engine will be restarted with the shift lever in P or N in case of CVT Click here.
