        If any DTCs for the CAN communication system are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

        However, if DTC P323B for the Stop and Start system is output, troubleshoot it before troubleshooting the CAN communication system.

  10. CONFIRMATION TEST


    1. Perform a confirmation test.


      1. Warm up the engine.

      2. Turn the air conditioning system off.

      3. Drive the vehicle for 15 minutes to 40 minutes.

      4. Stop the vehicle, shift to neutral and release the clutch. Check if the engine is stopped due to the stop and start control. (for Manual transaxle)

      5. Stop the vehicle, shift to neutral and depresses the brake pedal. Check if the stop and start cancel indicator light goes off. (for CVT)

        Tech Tips

        If the engine does not stop due to stop and start system control, air fuel ratio learning and idle speed learning are necessary. Allow the engine to idle for 3 minutes and check that the engine speed is within 50 rpm of the target idle speed.
