CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the ECM detects a cruise control main switch "on" signal from the cruise control main switch, it sends it to the combination meter through CAN communication. Then the cruise control indicator light turns on.

First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this problem.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test Click here.

      Combination Meter
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Indicat. Lamp Cruise Cruise control indicator light OFF/ON Vehicle is stopped and engine is idling
      OK
      Indicator light turns on/off.

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (CRUISE CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

      Cruise Control
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      CCS Indicator M-CPU Cruise control indicator (Main CPU) / OFF or ON

      OFF: Cruise control indicator light off

      ON: Cruise control indicator light on

      		 -
      OK
      The display is as specified in the normal condition column.
