STARTER(for 2.0 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE STARTER TERMINAL

      Open the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and the starter terminal.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from the magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. A005LD7

      Remove the 2 nuts that hold the starter magnet switch assembly to the starter housing.

      *2 Starter Pinion Drive Lever

      Pull the magnet starter switch assembly while lifting the front part of the magnet starter switch assembly, release the plunger hook from the starter pinion drive lever, and remove the magnet starter switch assembly.

  3. REMOVE STARTER DRIVE HOUSING ASSEMBLY

      Using long "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 2 through bolts.

    2. A005K30

      Pull out the starter yoke and the starter commutator end frame together with the armature.

      Remove the starter pinion drive lever.

  4. REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and starter commutator end frame.

      Note

      While holding down the lead wire, remove the starter commutator end frame.

  5. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush from the brush holder.

    2. Disconnect the 4 brushes, and remove the brush holder.

  6. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.

  7. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the starter yoke from the starter center bearing clutch.

  8. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE PLATE

      Remove the starter armature plate from the starter center bearing clutch.

  9. REMOVE PLANETARY GEAR


    1. A005IC6

      Remove the 3 planetary gears from the starter center bearing clutch.

  10. REMOVE DUST STARTER PROTECTOR

    A005LNM

    1. Remove the dust starter protector from the starter commutator end frame.
