INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET


    1. Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket onto the intake manifold.

  2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Temporarily install the intake manifold onto the cylinder head with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

    2. Tighten the 3 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 249 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

    3. Use the following procedure to connect the wire harness to the intake manifold.


      1. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness to the intake manifold.

      2. Connect the connector of the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

    4. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose and ventilation hose to the intake manifold.

  3. CONNECT UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE

  4. INSTALL EGR PIPE CONNECTOR


    1. Install the 2 new EGR pipe gaskets.

    2. Install the EGR pipe connector with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR
