INTERCOOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GROMMET


    1. Install the 2 grommets.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the radiator support cushion.

  3. INSTALL INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the intercooler assembly.

      Connect the vacuum hose.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness.

  4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness.

    4. Connect the airbag sensor connector.

    5. Connect the horn connector.

  5. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator reserve tank assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

      Connect the No. 2 air hose with the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  8. CONNECT NO. 3 AIR HOSE

      Connect the No. 3 air hose with the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the air cleaner case sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the air cleaner filter element.

  11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Connect the air cleaner hose with hose clamp to the air cleaner cap.

      Torque:
      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the air cleaner cap onto the air cleaner case and then lock the 2 lock clamps.

    3. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.

    4. Engage the 4 clamps to the air cleaner cap.

  12. INSTALL CENTER ENGINE UNDER COVER
