PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COOLING FAN MOTOR

      Component without harness connected

      (Cooling Fan Motor)

      Check that the motor operates smoothly when battery voltage is applied to the cooling fan motor connector.

    2. Connect the 400 A probe of an ammeter to terminal 2(+) of the cooling fan motor.

    3. Measure the current while the motor is operating.

      Standard Current
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (-) - 2 (+) 20°C (68°F) 11.2 to 14.4 A

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan motor.
