CANISTER ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT CANISTER


    1. Open the fuel tank cap.

      Apply compressed air to port B and check that air flows out from port A.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the charcoal canister.

      Close port A, apply compressed air to port B.

      OK
      Air does not flow at first. As the air pressure is gradually increased, air flows when the pressure in the port reaches the specified level.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the charcoal canister.

      Close port A, and apply compressed air to port B to check air flow when the pressure in the port reached the specified level.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the charcoal canister.
