EGR COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE EGR WITH COOLER PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A005JZV

      Disconnect the connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. A005HVH

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. A005KCV

      Disconnect the vacuum transmitting hose from the turbo pressure sensor.

    5. Remove the bolt and the turbo pressure sensor.

    6. A005K5W

      Disconnect the vacuum hose, No. 2 oil cooler hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose.

    7. A005HD3

      Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and the EGR with cooler pipe assembly.

    8. Remove the 2 gaskets from the cylinder head and electric EGR control valve.

  5. REMOVE EGR PIPE CONNECTOR


    1. A005IZ4

      Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and the EGR pipe connector.

    2. Remove the 2 gaskets and the EGR by-pass valve assembly from the EGR cooler assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 stud bolts from the EGR cooler assembly.
