FUEL PUMP REASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Be careful not to allow foreign matter to enter the fuel lines.

  • If the fuel filter is bent, the ability of the pump to produce suction will decrease and the pump may be damaged. Therefore, do not bend the fuel filter except when removing it from or installing it to the fuel tank.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP

      *1 O-ring
      *2 Fuel Pump Spacer

      Apply gasoline to a new O-ring, and then install the fuel pump spacer and new O-ring onto the fuel pump.

      Note

      Do not disassemble the fuel pump or the suction filter because they are non-reusable parts.

      Install the fuel pump to the fuel filter.

      Note

      As the fuel filter may be damaged, support it by the resin part and not by the filter part.

    3. A005MJJ

      Attach the 3 claws to install the fuel pump and fuel filter.

      Note

      Do not push the filter part of the fuel filter.

  2. INSTALL FUEL PUMP HARNESS


    1. A005HBV

      Connect the 2 connectors and install the fuel pump harness.
