EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE

    Click here

  2. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. A005KTG

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the front exhaust pipe from the tail exhaust pipe.

    3. A005KWN

      Disengage the 3 exhaust pipe supports and remove the front exhaust pipe.

    4. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe.

    5. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold converter.

  3. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  6. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER BRACKET

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps and separate the air fuel ratio sensor wire harness.

    3. Disengage the 2 engine wire harness clamps.

      Remove the 2 nuts and the No. 2 engine cover bracket.

    5. Remove the air fuel ratio sensor bracket and the harness bracket.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 TURBO INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 bolts and the No. 1 turbo insulator.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 VACUUM TRANSMITTING HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the No. 2 vacuum transmitting hose assembly.

  10. REMOVE VACUUM TRANSMITTING HOSE ASSEMBLY


    1. A005LIZ

      Remove the vacuum transmitting hose assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 VACUUM PIPE


    1. A005LMT

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Using a union nut wrench (14 mm), remove the No. 2 vacuum pipe.

  12. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A005JP2

      Remove the 2 nuts and the drive shaft heat insulator sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 4 MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. A005HJT

      Remove the 3 bolts and the No. 4 manifold support bracket.

  14. REMOVE NO. 3 MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. A005JEC

      Remove the 3 bolts and the No. 3 manifold support bracket.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts and the No. 2 exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM PIPE


    1. A005K0U

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Using a union nut wrench (14 mm), remove the No. 1 vacuum pipe.

  17. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A005KIV

      Disconnect the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connectors.

    2. Disengage the 2 harness clamps from the No. 2 timing chain cover.

    3. A005K3X

      Remove the bolt and separate the harness bracket.

    4. Disengage the 2 harness clamps from the harness bracket.

    5. A005KNU

      Remove the bolt, the 3 nuts and the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

    6. A005KOB

      Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.

  18. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. A005JFR

      Using a union nut wrench (14 mm), remove the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensors.
