FUEL FILTER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL FILTER ELEMENT

      *1 Gasket

      Check and clean the fuel filter installation surface.

    2. Apply fuel to the gasket of a new fuel filter element.

    3. Lightly screw the fuel filter element into place, and tighten it until the gasket comes into contact with the seat.

    4. Tighten it an additional 3/4 turn by hand.

  2. INSTALL FUEL FILTER DRAIN PLUG


    1. Apply fuel to the new O-ring of the drain plug.

    2. Install the fuel filter drain plug onto the level warning switch by hand.

  3. INSTALL LEVEL WARNING SWITCH

  4. INSTALL FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel filter with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

    3. Connect the 4 hoses to the fuel filter.

    4. Carry out priming work until the hand pump feels hard when pushed, since filling the fuel filter with fuel is required after replacement of the fuel filter.
