REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
REMOVE REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

Remove the rear floor service hole cover.
Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
DISCONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Widen the tip of the tube joint clip and pull out the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Pull the fuel tank main tube out of the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly to disconnect it.
Note
Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
The fuel tube connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
Do not use any tools.
Do not bend or twist the tubes.
Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.
Do not damage any of the clips. If a clip is damaged, replace it.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL EMISSION TUBE
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 fuel emission tube.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 CANISTER OUTLET HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the No. 1 canister outlet hose.
REMOVE FUEL PUMP GAUGE RETAINER
Note
Before removing the fuel pump, clean the fuel pump and the surrounding area.
Set SST on the fuel pump gauge retainer.
Tech Tips
Securely attach the claws of SST to the protrusions of the fuel pump gauge retainer and fix SST in place.
Install SST while pressing the claws of SST against the fuel pump gauge retainer (towards the center of SST).
Using SST, loosen the fuel pump gauge retainer.

Note
Do not use any tools other than those specified in this operation. Damage to the fuel pump gauge retainer or the fuel tank may result.
While pressing down on SST so that the claws of SST do not slip off the protrusions of the fuel pump gauge retainer, turn the fuel pump gauge retainer counterclockwise to loosen it.
Tech Tips
The protrusions of the fuel pump gauge retainer fit in the ends of SST.
Remove the fuel pump gauge retainer while holding the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly by hand.
REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY
Remove the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly from the fuel tank.
Note
Do not bend the arm of the sender gauge.
REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE SET GASKET
Remove the fuel suction tube gasket from the fuel tank.
