  1. INSPECT FOR FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

      Visually check the fan and generator v belt for excessive wear, frayed cords etc. If any defects are found, replace the fan and generator v belt.

      Tech Tips


      • If any defects are found, replace the fan and generator v belt.

      • Cracks on the rib side of a belt are considered acceptable. If the fan and generator v belt has pieces missing from the ribs, it should be replaced.

      Inspect the fan and generator v belt fits properly into the ribbed grooves.

      Tech Tips

      Check with your hand to confirm that the fan and generator v belt has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom to the pulley. If it has slipped out, replace the fan and generator v belt. Install a new fan and generator v belt correctly.
