ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WATER FILLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    A005L7H

    1. Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the cylinder head.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the water filler sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    Click here

  6. REMOVE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the oil level dipstick sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE OIL LEVEL GAGE GUIDE


    1. A005GDX

      Remove the bolt and the oil level gage guide.

  8. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER


    1. A005M1Z

      Remove the EGR delivery chamber and gasket.

  9. SEPARATE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. A005J0H

      Disengage the hose clamp.

    2. Loosen the clip and remove the No. 4 water by-pass hose.

  10. SEPARATE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. A005MHT

      Disengage the hose clamp.

    2. Loosen the clip and remove the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. A005KMN

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and separate the No. 1 water by-pass pipe.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL PIPE

  13. REMOVE BOOSTER VACUUM TUBE


    1. A005KBF

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the 2 ground wires from the cylinder head.

    2. A005KJE

      Remove the 2 bolts and the booster vacuum tube.

  14. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE


    1. Disconnect all sensor connectors and wire harness clamps from the engine assembly and remove the engine wire harness.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

  16. REMOVE MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET

  17. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD
