PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    A005KL1E07

    1. Partially immerse the sensor in water and warm up the water.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Approximately 20°C (68°F) 2.21 to 2.65 kΩ
      Approximately 60°C (140°F) 0.55 to 0.61 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.

      Note

      If checking the intake air temperature sensor in water, be careful not to allow water into the terminals. After checking, wipe the water off on the intake air temperature sensor.
