DIESEL THROTTLE BODY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket and the diesel throttle body and wire harness bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR WITH DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the new gasket to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. Install the intake air connector with diesel throttle body assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the vacuum hose to the intake air connector.

  3. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE


    1. Engage the clamp and connect the engine wire to the harness clamp bracket.

    2. Connect the engine wire to the wire harness clamp bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector of the diesel throttle body assembly.

    4. Connect the connector of the intake air temperature sensor.

    5. Connect the connector of the stater assembly.

    6. Connect the connector of the generator assembly.

  4. CONNECT AIR HOSE

      Connect the air hose to the diesel throttle body assembly with the 2 hose clamps.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Check the torque in an hour after tightening and confirm that it is 1.8 N*m or higher.

      Install the bolt to No. 2 air tube bracket.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be sure to use the boss with low height to install the No.2 air tube.

  7. INSTALL ELECTRIC EGR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. When replacing the diesel throttle body assembly, perform initialization Click here.
